Hemp...
There are two main types of cannabis; the first type is called sativa, and the second type is called indica. Both types carry what's called cannabinoids; there are around 85 cannabinoids in cannabis, including the cannabinoid THC. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid, the cannabinoid that gets one "high", if you will. The other remaining cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBG, CBT, etc.) are non-psychoctive, meaning you cannot get "high" from any of the them. MedJoy™ products are rich in cannabinoids, many with ZERO THC, and some with very little trace amounts of THC (0.3 percent or less).
Many Types Of Hemp Oil...
There are many types of hemp oil. The Cannabis sativa varietals that have more than 0.3 percent of THC are commonly referred to as "marijuana". Hemp is any varietal of Cannabis sativa that contains less than 0.3 percent THC. So with this in mind, you can get hemp oil that's rich in THC (also containing other cannabinoids), or you can get hemp oil that's rich in CBD (or other cannabinoids with 0.3 percent of THC or less). The hemp oil that MedJoy™ is made from comes from industrialized hemp (Cannabis sativa), the stalk of the hemp plant, cultivated at our beautiful Colorado farms, mainly for it's CBD content (and other cannabinoids with THC less that 0.3 percent). We carry Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum and Isolate (THC-Free).
Hemp Oil Extraction Methods...
CO2 Extraction - this method uses high-pressure and low-temperature CO2 gas, which
helps isolate and preserve the cannabinoids in the oil. This is the method we use. Etanol Extraction - this
method is safe and non-toxic in small amounts. The main drawback is that ethanol-extraction destroys the plant waxes. Some claim the destroyed wax contains important health benefits.. Olive Oil Extraction - this method is safe and cost-effective, but the oils can turn
rancid if not properly stored after extraction. Butane Extraction - this method does a great job
extracting, but some of the butane remains which can be harmful to your lungs.
How Hemp Oil Can Be Consumed...
Hemp oil can be consumed orally, sublingually (under the tongue) or applied topically. Some people like to vape CBD isolate, for a more immediate delivery into the blood stream. At MedJoy™, we carry products that provide all methods of delivery. Please visit our website: www.MedJoy.com to get started on your journey towards "balancing body and mind"™
Side-Effects From Hemp Oil...
Side-effects from taking hemp oil are rare. One may experience low blood pressure,
dry mouth, sedation, lightheadedness, or slowed thoughts. Taking hemp oil is generally safe, but it's always good to talk with your physician first before taking hemp oil.
Great For Pets...
Hemp oil is great for pets too! Just like us, our pets also have an endocannabinoid system. This system contains CBD receptors that work to help maintain their immune system. Just Google 'Endocannabinoid' and you can read all about it! As always, it's best to consult with your veterinarian before giving your fury loved one hemp oil.
